Where in Tasmania does LAEI offer services?

LAEI offers centre-based services in Glenorchy (Southern Tasmania) and home/school-based services in the Launceston and Burnie areas.

What does LAEI offer?

LAEI offers therapeutic and behaviour supports through one-to-one therapy sessions based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to assist children in developing skills a range of learning areas, including communication and daily living.

We do not offer occupational therapy, speech therapy or diagnostic services.

What is the cost of services?

LAEI charges the current NDIS rates per hour for services. This includes travel costs for sessions/consultations at your home, school or in the community.

Does my child need a referral to access services?

No, referrals are not necessary to access LAEI services. We ask that you complete our Client Intake Form to register your child on our waitlist.

Does my child need a diagnosis of ASD to access services?

No, a diagnosis is not necessary to access LAEI services. We provide individually tailored programs for children with a range of learning disabilities and/or behavioural challenges.

How I do get started with LAEI?

After completing the Client Intake Form, LAEI Admin Team will contact you regarding current session availability.

  • If the offered times are not suitable to you at the time, your child will be placed on our waitlist to be contacted again in future.
  • If the offered times are suitable, LAEI Admin Team will schedule an Initial Consultation Meeting with yourself and a Program Supervisor to develop a learning program for your child.
