Parent training is an important part of a child’s success, as parents can provide extra opportunities for their child to practice the skills that they have learned in therapy.
The program Supervisor works closely with parents and provides in home coaching.
Coaching can also assist parents to tackle challenging behaviours that their child may display. Customised intervention strategies, and in-home support can give parents the skills and confidence to make their family life happier and more harmonious.
We target all strands of learning and development including: communication, social skills, play skills, motor skills, daily living skills, and cognitive skills.
The program Supervisor works directly with the parents and therapy team to develop the best initial program. The program Supervisor will also monitor and update the child’s individual programs as the child advances from the introductory ABA learning phase.
It is then recommended to expand learning environments. Our programs can be imparted at home and also at the Glenorchy Centre to facilitate generalisation.
